Evaluation of Prelium task - Yharnna Dior Joseph

Our intial task for our Practical task was to produce a music Video , which was 2/3 minutes long. Unfortuantly we were unable to choose the song , that we were to making the video song , and was instead given a song by our teachers. The song that we were to make a video to , was called ' I put a spell on you' which had been made in the 1980's by a femal artist called Nina Simone. After thoroughly researching conventions of a music video , we were aware that it was absolutely crucial that we had a suitable narrative , which would correlate to the song lyrics and appear entertaining for the audience. We firstly researched the song lyrics to 'I put a spell on you ' After looking into the song lyrics in depth we decided that our narrative was going to centre around a woman , who is essentially a woman scorned in the sense that she's heart broken that the love of her life has moved on  with another girl, therefore the main singer /narrator who is a female , is casting a spell on her ex lover. We all agreed on this story line , as it correlated immensely to the song lyrics and was also an entertaining idea for the audiences sake. I think we worked well within a griup we had equal imputs.

Evaluation of our Prelium Task By Jamie Hutton

For our prelim task we were give the song 'I put a spell on you' By Nina Simone. Once we were given our song we began to think of what ideas we could have a the narrative for the video. We came up with the  narrative being about a a girl who is still in love with her ex boyfriend because he broke her heart but she is till obsessed with him but he has moved on with a new girl ad she stalks them. We thought this narrative would work well seeing as the song was named 'I put a spell on you' which conveyed a bitter meaning. We had both positive and negative feedback from the audience that watched the
